With Advalpal forest under mining Wild boar attacks humans and this was the case with Shrimati Shetye, housewife from Advalpal was attacked by wild boar on March 22, 2009. She had gone to collect firewood when the wild boar ran towards her and jumped on her and ran away. She has sustained injuries to her right hand.
Thick Advalpal forests are at the receiving end of the greedy miners ruing forest. The mining companies that active in Advalpal in northern part of Goa includes Sesa Goa, Salgaoncars and Fomentos.
