According to the message received from Floriano Lobo from Moira there will be public protest meeting against Fomento mining company filing defamation suit of Rs.500/- crore against Sebastian Rodrigues for his online writings exposing mining industry at http://www.mandgoa.blogspot.com/.
Meet that is going to be held on Monday, February 02, 2009 at Moira Club, Moira, Bardez, Goa at 4.00 pm will also protest against open cast mining in Goa.
Members of public are invited to participate in the meeting and express their support to the movement against mining in Goa. Floriano has requested those willing to participate in the meet to come along with black Flags.
